Joining 12MeetSenior is simple,
requiring
users to create a username and password, provide
some basic information about themselves (gender, 'looking for', date of
birth, age, height, ethnicity, religion, occupation) and of course,
submit a valid email address.
- To complete your profile you need to write a
quick introduction to yourself (your hobbies, interests and what you're
looking for), and also a title for your profile.
- There are numerous additional sections to
your profile, but these can be completed at any time!

options, Standard membership and Subscription membership, and the

12MeetSenior is a site which, although not limited
to a UK audience entirely, seems to specialize in matches in the UK and
Ireland. It offers members the chance to communicate with potential
matches using email and live chat (instant messenger), and also to use
its "My Match" software to generate a number of potential matches based
on the information given in user profiles. While the system was
easy to use, the site seemed rather demanding in terms of the
information required on a profile in order to complete a search.
Without a complete profile, users are not allowed to search at all!
Searches on 12MeetSenior.com are, however, particularly
comprehensive and allow users to vary the results delivered by a number
of variables. This is especially true of the advanced search, which
allows users to filter results completely so that only the most
appropriate results are listed. The list of search fields is also extensive
(see above).
Other features, such as the ability to view your "fans" and the ability to create a list
of "favorites" helps users to find successful matches easier, and
removes the awkwardness in actually having to approach another member
of the site. Message boards and forums would be a welcome addition to
the site in order that it might feel more like a community, something
that greatly benefits other sites that we reviewed. Also, the site
visually looks a little tired and outdated - it would certainly attract
a greater number of users if it looked more current.
The major downfall of this site is that, for the benefits of
membership, it is extremely expensive compared to the other sites in
our review. Its limited scope to just UK and Irish users, and its cost
of around £100 (approximately $200) a year makes it substantially
more expensive than most other sites, and this, coupled with its
limited features, is why it did not succeed in ranking higher in our
reviews.
